千利休が、客人をもてなすために特別に吉野杉を取り寄せて作ったとされる伝統的な箸の形。この箸は茶事に使われ始め、その後、特別な席やお祝いの場で愛されるハレの日のお箸として広まりました。弓なりの形状と、自然の温もりを感じさせる吉野杉の木肌が特徴です。また、この形状は「らんちゅう箸」という別名でも親しまれています。日本の伝統と心を感じる一膳です。
"Chopsticks for Special Occasions"
This traditional chopstick design is said to have been created by Sen no Rikyu, who specially procured Yoshino cedar to craft them for his honored guests. Originally used in tea ceremonies, these chopsticks later became cherished as utensils for special gatherings and celebratory moments. Their graceful, bow-like shape and the natural warmth of Yoshino cedar’s texture make them truly exceptional. This design is also fondly known as "Ranchu Chopsticks," embodying the tradition and spirit of Japanese hospitality.
